Shelby, NC (WNN) - As of Thursday, August 14th, 2025, the American Legion World Series games have been moved to accommodate the weather. The new schedule will see today's games moved to Friday, August 15th, 2025.
This will also include moving today's activities to August 15th, with the Parade of Champions occurring at 6:30 PM on Friday. However, to preserve the tournament's original end date, the following day's schedules have been adjusted.
This move will result in Friday's originally scheduled games of Lincoln, NE vs. League City, TX, and Rockport, IN vs. Portland, OR being moved to Saturday, August 16th. Saturday's game of Lincoln, NE vs Portland, OR has been moved to Sunday, August 17th, to prevent forcing the players to play two games in one day.
Barring further weather delays, the American Legion World Series will be back on track for the semifinal and final games on Monday and Tuesday as originally scheduled. Currently, it has not been announced if these changes will affect events surrounding the games, such as the Warbird and pilot display and the All Veterans Group aerial performance, both originally scheduled for Saturday.
Stay tuned for more updates on the American Legion World Series and a daily wrap-up of all the games as they occur.
