The sister of Mary Jolly, Brittney Jolly is attempting to start a scholarship in her sister’s name to honor her. She had this to say:

“My sister, Mary Jolly, passed away on Monday, November 17th at 11:05 a.m. She has been lovingly called the “Good Samaritan,” thanks to your coverage and the many news outlets who shared her story. I want to extend my sincere gratitude to every news source that has honored her. Because of you, her compassion, bravery, and service have reached countless people, and the outpouring of support for our family has left us truly speechless.

In her honor, my family has created The Jolly Good Samaritan Scholarships, dedicated to supporting aspiring first responders who hope to touch lives the way she did. My family has set up a GoFundMe to contribute to this scholarship fund. I am reaching out to ask if you would be willing to help us share this scholarship fund with the community to build awareness and support. Your platform has already played a meaningful role in preserving Mary’s legacy, and helping us spread the word about this scholarship would continue that impact in an extraordinary way.”
