Season 2 of The Hunting Wives Filmed in Gastonia

Posted

Gastonia, NC (WNN) - On Tuesday, February 24th, 2026, downtown Gastonia transformed into a working film set as Netflix's The Hunting Wives rolled cameras in the heart of the city.

This isn't the first time The Hunting Wives have visited NC. The cast and crew utilized Charlotte and its surrounding areas to film season 1, which debuted on Netflix July 21st, 2025. As production gears up for season 2, the locations department once again scouted the area for filming and chose the corner of N York St and W Main Ave as a great location.

Nearby residents received a notice that the show would be filming on Tuesday from 7 am to 7 pm. If any issues arise, they can contact the location's manager directly during filming.

It appears they were filming at The Rustin, a residential property which was restored in the summer of 2024. The large mechanical arm you see stationed outside the property is a boom lift with an ARRI film light attached to its end. This rig was likely used as a false sun as the actors were shooting indoors.

The production is in the middle of shooting, with the season coming to a wrap in the coming months.

If you or a friend is interested in being a background actor for the series, please head to Tona B. Dahlquist Casting Facebook page for updates on the production.
