Brush Fire in Gaston County, NC

Gaston County, NC (WNN) - A large brush fire was reported in Gaston County, North Carolina, at approximately 4 PM on Wednesday, March 11th, 2026.  The fire is in the vicinity of Able Rd and Bess Town Rd. Officials are urging individuals to avoid the area until the fire is contained. The NC Forestry Service could be seen working to contain the fire with a bulldozer. Other assisting fire units were Spencer Mountain, North Gaston, Ranlo, Waco, Cherryville, and Hugh's Pond.  The cause of the fire is under investigation and is not known at this time.
