Cherryville Family YMCA Now Offering 24-Hour Wellness Center Access

Cherryville, NC — August 27, 2025 — The Gaston County Family YMCA is proud to announce that the Cherryville Family YMCA now offers 24-hour access to its Wellness Center, giving members the flexibility to work out whenever it fits their schedule. “Life doesn’t run on a 9-to-5 schedule, and now, neither does your Y,” said Executive Director Josey Messer. “We are excited to bring this added benefit to our Cherryville community so members can enjoy a healthier lifestyle on their own time.”

For years, Cherryville members have shared their desire for expanded hours, especially shift workers, parents balancing busy family schedules, and those who prefer early morning or late-night workouts. The addition of 24-hour access is a direct response to that feedback. It will allow the YMCA to serve even more people in the community, removing barriers to health, wellness, and connection.

With 24-hour access, eligible members (ages 18+) can enjoy:

• Main Fitness Area (cardio equipment, weight machines, and free weights),
•  Lower Weight Lifting Area
• Restrooms and Showers.
