Very slick conditions, especially on hills, will be a problem for motorists without four-wheel drive.  Conditions on Sunday will improve very little, with a high of 32 degrees and a low of 8 degrees on Sunday night.  Water pipes freezing may be another issue facing residents, as very low temperatures and strong winds are major factors. However, sunny skies and above-freezing temperatures are forecasted for Monday and Tuesday.

Beware Of Salt

Beware of using straight salt as a de-icer on concrete. Salt is highly corrosive and can trigger chemical reactions in concrete, leading to cracking and total deterioration of sidewalks and driveways. Use only concrete safe de-icers as stated on the label.
