This year's fair will feature a mascot. Starting on August 21, the Cleveland County Fair held a contest on its Facebook page to let anyone create a name for the mascot. The contest went through September 11 and ended on September 15. The official name of the mascot has since been announced as Shelby.
Free parking is available in parking lots owned/operated by the fair on Kemper Road and Ferris Wheel Road. Handicapped parking is available near Gate 14 on Ferris Wheel Road. Parking is also available across the street from the fair at Cleveland Community College.
