Gaston County, NC – Per the Gaston County Police: The Gaston County Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit has arrested and charged three individuals in connection with separate, months-long methamphetamine trafficking investigations.
The individuals arrested are:
• Daniel Scott Williams, 40, of Cherryville – Bond set at $75,000
• Tyler Kent Stamey, 43, of Cherryville – Bond set at $150,000
• Andrew Tyler Peterson, 37, of Charlotte – Bond set at $100,000
A total of twenty-one counts of methamphetamine trafficking have been filed among the three suspects, along with two additional counts of cocaine trafficking filed against Stamey.
Each of the individuals also faces charges of:
• Maintaining a vehicle or dwelling for the purpose of selling a controlled substance
• Possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and distribute methamphetamine
Williams and Stamey were co-conspirators in one of the investigations. The three men are reported to have trafficked multiple pounds of methamphetamine in the Cherryville area and throughout greater Gaston County.
Williams and Stamey are currently being held at the Gaston County Jail. Peterson was released after posting bond.
